从事英语教学多年，对低年级的英语教学一直存在困惑：到底是教单词，让学生学会读单词？还是让学生感知英语，大量输入？在学期开始，蔡老师组织低年级英语教师，一起探讨低年级教学目标和方法。老师们意见不一，蔡老师就推荐了《不能错过的英语启蒙》一书。读后，我豁然了，真的是恍然大悟，受益匪浅。

本书把国外的英语启蒙体系和国内孩子的实际结合起来，为中国孩子学习英语提供了切实可行的操作方案，为中国孩子的英语启蒙画出了完整的路线图。作者在书中阐述：“语言是有规律的，儿童成长也是有规律的。尊重语言学以及儿童成长的客观规律，用母语的方式，用中文学习的模式来思考和解决英语启蒙中的问题，通过日常生活中原汁原味素材的输入，从听力辨音能力和情境对应能力两个基本点入手，建造第二母语的游泳池。而这个游泳池的关键，是科学体系的建立。有了这样的体系，孩子最终获得的将是活的语言能力和人文素养的综合提升。”

印象很深的是作者提出的一个观点：尽可能早地给孩子磨英文耳朵，也就是让孩子尽早接触原版英文资源，例如：英文原版动画片、歌谣、诗歌、故事等等，让孩子经常听，为他们创造尽可能纯正的语言环境。磨英文耳朵的关键不在于听懂每一个单词，而在于熟悉英语的韵律节奏，培养语感。首先得让孩子大脑中储存足够多的语音信号，他们才能区分各种信号的不同，所谓的辨音能力就是这样形成的。孩子听得多了，达到了一定程度，再结合具体的场景，就能够自己说出来。开始可能是模仿，但又不仅仅是模仿。他们是按句子输出的，而不是按单字输出的。英文也是一样。孩子们需要的是理解整句话的意思，而这种理解，都是放在情境中去实现的，和情境对应得多了，理解能力自然就上来了。而那些死抠单词的听力输入方式，最后的结果只能是：拿出单个的词都知道，但是放在一起，组成一个句子、一个段落，由于中间的省略、连读、弱读等等变化，由于缺乏整体理解能力，即使是一句非常简单的话，也难以理解其完整的含义。从这一点上来说，一定强调听懂了多少个单词才算听懂，这种方式只能限制孩子的听力积累，尤其对孩子的韵律节奏训练不利。而韵律节奏训练是比单个词的发音更重要的语感训练。

从这个观点，我想到了自己在低年级的教学，真的很惭愧。为了给学生拓展一些课外阅读，我选择了一些课外英语故事读给学生听。当然，我的出发点是好的，可是却办了坏事。为了让学生听懂故事，我一个词一个词的教，一个词一个词的解释。故事说完了，按照学生记得的单词数来进行奖励。真是惭愧。这样的教学阅读，还不如不教。细细想来，这破坏了语境，割裂了语句，最终只会导致学生英语思维的停滞。

随后，我在低年级进行了实验。我选择了大量的英语素材，如歌曲、视频、绘本等。在教学涉及相关内容时，就播放给学生观看。学生非常感兴趣。在观看数遍之后，发现他们也都能记得简单的语句。在进行课文内容输出时，学生都不自觉的加入了一些他们在素材中所看到听到的内容。我非常的开心。我想，学生们在朗读这些歌谣的时候，他们不一定明白其中每个单词、句子的意思，仅仅就是跟着节奏和感觉走，在多次的聆听和跟读之后，其中的含义和韵味就在孩子们的心中自然生成了。达到了语言内化的目的。这样的教学效果是不言而喻的。

另外，书中还对如何与孩子进行phonics启蒙教育、背单词、提高阅读水平等方面进行了一系列的说明，提供了许多非常有用的学习资源和网络资源链接。在一次次的反复阅读之中，让我的心中不断涌起迫切的感觉——迫切地想改进自己的教学方法，改进熏陶学生英语的方式……
